Short version: we keep only what the study app needs to work.

What the study app stores
Your study progress, such as which kanji you have learned and your review schedule, is stored in your browser on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Accounts
If you create an account or sign in, we use Firebase Authentication from Google to handle sign-in. That service receives the email address or sign-in identity you provide. Where progress is synced to your account, it is tied to that account so you can continue on another device.
Analytics and cookies
The marketing pages do not set advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly usage analytics, this page will be updated first.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
Your choices
You can ask us to export or delete your account data at any time by emailing hello@kanjiguide.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date above will change with it.
